Melting ice cream’s no fun
Without the romance of a warm cup of cocoa.
Blossoming roses aren’t as pretty
Without the shriveled-up hip and the thorn.
Strapless dresses don’t say “freedom”
Without mourning a waning tan beneath your parka.
And a textbook powder turn just won’t thrill
Without the taste of salty sweat from a mid-day ride.
Simply proves that …
Even in the darkness of winter,
Summer’s invincible nature can’t be shaken.
